This piece was created for the Exit Art show, "The Presidency", in which artists were asked to create pieces that demonstrate their views of the office of the presidency and what the title of that office means to the artist.
31 Down decided to take a look at the nature of the presidency from a human point of view. There is not much apologizing when it comes to the actions of the president. If Mike Sharpie were The President, time would go a lot slower, and he would have a weekly radio address where he apologizes for everything, from pop culture to war.
Mike Sharpie takes responsibility for his actions and the actions of the United States.

31 Down transmitted this radio program to an old radio in the gallery space. Patrons to the gallery as well as cars on the street out front could tune in to this Presidential address.
